Jeff makes it very clear that the Lions need help at safety – in no uncertain terms, his assessment is something all Lions fans will want to hear. He also discusses linebackers and specifically the performance of Shaun Dion Hamilton. While he focused on defense, that doesn’t mean he neglected to check out reps on the other side of the ball. Risdon has some great news about Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff and his performance – including how well he’s gelling with the top two running backs D’Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams. He also discusses ongoing talks with running back Todd Gurley. These guys and the offensive line are going to set the tone for this offense in 2021.
