In this live episode of The Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Sandman take a look back at the Lions and Indianapolis Colts game. We talked about this game being a real test of the team, and frankly, the Lions failed against the Indianapolis Colts. It was a low energy, game in which the Indianapolis Colts overwhelmed the Lions in the trenches and set the tone for the entire game. While not pivotal to the game’s outcome, we got a nice dose of terrible officiating that we’ve become accustomed to over the years.
Indianapolis Colts Beat The Lions Up!
It all happened in the trenches. The offensive and defensive lines for the Indianapolis Colts just dominated the Lions this week. It was a clinic on how important an offensive and defensive line are in the NFL. Matthew Stafford was hit/sacked a number of times, and never looked very comfortable in the pocket. Couple that with a team that just couldn’t find energy and you get the shellacking that the Lions received today. We talked about this game being a statement game for the Lions, and the statement they made was unintelligible.
