Ep: 227 – Lions Face Their Biggest Test Of The Year – The Detroit Lions Podcast

In this episode of The Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Case bring you the latest Lions news after the huge win over the Eagles. Today we are looking at an undefeated Lions team, ready to face one of the best teams in the NFL. There’s something different afoot though. The Lions actually have a chance to win. It’s a small chance, but this team has a very different outlook than in years past. We cover that and a whole lot more in this week’s podcast.

Detroit Lions Podcast Dodges Philly D-cells

First things first, we discuss the Lions victory against the Philadelphia Eagles in Philly. The Lions gave us plenty of opportunities to fret over the game, but in the end they carried victory home. It wasn’t pretty, but the Lions have taken on a personality that makes other teams uncomfortable. They make games hard for other teams, and for Lions fans, that has to be a welcome change.

From there the Detroit Lions Podcast takes a number of listener calls and questions. We spend some time discussing possible pickups like Jalen Ramsey, the Lions strengths, and much more. Great catch of questions this week, and we’ll follow up with a live ‘Quick Takes’ episode with Jeff Risdon to discuss the Lions upcoming game and to take your questions live.

We take a moment to discuss Matthew Stafford’s accuracy, we do an early look at the injury report, and we take a deep dive into the defense. Then we marvel about how unexpected the Lions record is thus far in 2019.

Looking Ahead To The Kansas City Chiefs

Next the Detroit Lions Podcast goes into our predictions for the game against the Kansas City Chiefs and specific keys to the game for the Lions. There are three keys, and if the Lions take care of those things they will walk away with a win against one of the best teams in the NFL today.

Finally, we take you ‘Around The Division’ to look at our competition and to ascertain where we might stand after the third week of football. There are some key matchups to watch this week that just might predict outcomes for the year.
