In this episode of The Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris is without Case, but still joined by Jeff “The Riz” Risdon and they break down all of the latest and greatest Lions news. They start out with some Packers-related talk (which is a key reason for the Explicit rating) and move into the biggest mailbag you’ve seen yet. Tons of topics, and they still manage to slide more of their own into the show along the way.
The Packers talk isn’t as horrible as one might think. We found a great submission from /u/FunnyPenguin97 on Reddit comparing some of Matthew Stafford’s stats with Aaron Rodgers’ stats, and Matthew comes out looking pretty fine. He is undeniably a stud. Then we start discussing a great subject that /u/JahvidSanders44 brought up – When did you REALLY start hating the Packers? We told our stories, make sure to share yours with us on Twitter with the #FTP hashtag.
After that, we crack open the mailbag and watch the love spill forth. Tons of questions this week from our beloved listeners ranging from “Will we resign Ziggy Ansah and Golden Tate?” to “What position has Tyrell Crosby been practicing at?” and many more. There is a lot on the minds of the submitters, so hopefully we clear up all of those things that have been bothering them.
Lastly, we talk about something new we’re going to be trying out: Detroit Lions Podcast – Play With The Podcast! If you are a gamer and enjoy playing on Xbox One, we’re going to be opening things up on Thursday nights at 8:30 EST for folks to join us and have some fun gaming. We’ll stream the game-play and basically just have a great time whiling away the hours until the Lions season kicks off… If you are interested, just add Gamertag: DetLionsPodcast on Xbox and join us when we pop online on Thursday. We’re open to play just about any game, so come hang and have some casual fun. Unless we do Call of Duty, then Chris goes full-on sweaty try hard. Worry not, gaming talk isn’t taking away any podcast time! This is all extra-curricular.
