In this episode of The Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Case break down the latest and greatest in Lions news ahead of the start of the league year.
We start off discussion Le’Veon Bell and the opportunity that may lie with the Lions in free agency. I don’t want to drop a spoiler here, but sorry Bell fans, he’s not coming to Detroit. There are a number of reasons and we lay them out for you to chew on before calling us on the Lions Line to tell us we’re wrong.
We also dissect the Tahir Whitehead situation based on this article by DetroitLionsPodcast.com staff writer, Brandon Knapp. Signing or not signing him might be a bit controversial, but we take a look at the topic and weigh in with our thoughts. Case winds up on the fence as usual…
With highs come lows, and we take some time to talk about the state of journalism in Detroit, specifically in regard to the action taken by the mods of r/DetroitLions against the Detroit Free Press’s Reddit account. Hopefully the thinking gets some traction and we can help to start the change that Detroit needs in its sports journalism.
Lastly, we break down the upcoming league schedule and highlight the key dates to look forward to in the near-term. We also talk a bit about the show’s schedule for the next few weeks as we work to build an even bigger and better draft show for our listeners. This year’s draft party is going to be lit!
