In this live episode of The Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris is joined by our favorite Slowlights specialist, Sandman, and an old favorite, Mike the Ambling Bastard. Additionally, we welcome very special guest, former Detroit Lions Quarterback, Dan Orlovsky, to the show. He brings a great deal of experience and insight as to what might be going on in the Lions locker room as well as with the coaching staff.
With Matthew Stafford going down with an injury to his hand, this loss was pretty close to one of the worst case scenarios for the Lions season. The team came out flat and even with a second half spark, didn’t have enough to even score half as many points as the Baltimore Ravens normally anemic offense. This was a horrific showing by the Lions defense. There still remains hope, but very little room for error by the Lions or the teams they need to help them make the playoffs.
Dan Orlovsky joins us for the first time and talks about what things are like in the Lions locker room right now, what the players might be thinking, and how important the team’s leaders are. He also makes a case on the coaching staff’s behalf. We had a lot to think about and process after speaking with Dan. Luckily, we’ll have more opportunities to do so in the future when he joins the show for an in-depth interview.
We also take your calls and work through our standard post-loss therapy session, even though this one seemed so much harder to take.
A hearty thank you to everyone who took the time to join us on the live post game version of the Detroit Lions Podcast!
