What a great week to do a Detroit Lions Podcast! This Lions are coming off of a great win in Green Bay against the Aaron Rodgers-less Packers, Chris and Case talk about what the rest of the season might hold for this team, and the Detroit Lions WAGS are now known to listen to our show.
The boys talk about the win against the Packers at Lambeau and what it means for this team and their chances at taking the division. Don’t let the fact that the Packers were without Aaron Rodgers fool you into thinking that the Lions couldn’t have won. Those points and the fact that the Lions never needed to punt are a direct result of our offense kicking ass and taking the Packers defense to school. Our defense could very well have given Aaron Rodgers a hard time all game. This was a great game from the entire Lions team and with the exception of their inside-the-5 performance and a missed field goal, they played very well.
The whole turkey hole thing would have been topic number one if it weren’t for such an amazing victory happening in Lambeau, but Chris lets loose on the idea of viewers being played off as a bunch of schmucks by a group of suits in a contrived effort to be edgy, funny, and relevant. Chris might come off as the “fun governor” on this one, but it’s something that needs to be said.
We spend some time celebrating Matthew Stafford and his toughness by revisiting the game against the Browns in Stafford’s rookie season. The audio still brings goosebumps, and we defy anyone to question Matthew Stafford’s heart and commitment to the team after hearing and seeing this. The man sealed his position as legend in his rookie season.
Further, Case brings us his segment where he takes us ‘Around the Division’, we are visited by Fansanity craziness, and we bring back a fan favorite segment, “Counterpoint” where we are visited by an expert from the opposing team to break things down from the opposition’s perspective. It’s a really great show this week.
