In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Case are back after the biggest blow to hit since 2017 started.
News about the Lions begins with a dive into a discussion that goes beyond muffin tops, we go all in on mushroom tops. Yep, Matt Prater (sexy beast that he is) tops off this week’s program, after he was called to duty after the terrible shot that took Kasey Redfern out for the season. We lament the terrible luck that Kasey continues to face, but also speak to the inspiration that he brings as a guy who never gives up and who is taking a great attitude into beginning again next year. Best of luck, Kasey, we’ll be cheering for you!
The guys also talk about Kenny Golladay and his performance so far. This guy is on fire! We start talking nicknames and begin the discussion by taking one in particular off the list. We also open the naming discussion up to listeners by asking them to call us on the Lions line and give us their best/funniest/weirdest nicknames for Kenny. Don’t be shy, give us a call at (929) 33-Lions and let us know what you think!
We take some time to discuss the defense at length and their performance. What an effort by a group that we were worried about prior to the season’s start. They kept this game under control while the offense remembered that this isn’t jai alai that they’re playing… We also talk sloppy starts, Jim Bob Cooter’s growth, NFL power rankings, preview the upcoming game against the Giants, and go around the division.
It doesn’t stop there, we grab a call from the Lions line in one of our favorite segments, “Fansanity”.
It’s a great show this week, and its great to be back in the saddle with our Redditors for the 2017 Lions football season.
