In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Case break down the latest and most important Detroit Lions news, including lots of pre-draft hype, the latest from the NFL owners’ meeting, and they take a trip around the division for a look at what the competition is up to. The Riz takes a week off due to an intense need to perform door maintenance.
Chris and Case go through This Week In Reddit and discuss the major topics hitting the Lions and their fan community. There is a lot of discussion about Quinn’s moves, who he has been watching, and why it is both surprising and not surprising (Schrödinger’s GM!). We also take a few minutes to discuss the status of Matthew Stafford’s contract negotiations and why there is nothing to worry about. This is what good management and player relationships look like. The boys also mourn those lost in the subreddit’s most recent meme war against the Tennessee Titan’s subreddit. r/detroitlions was the clear winner in this, but the Titans’ subreddit is acting like North Korea and treating this as a cease fire. War, it never changes. Deeper discussions on the changes in NFL rules and how they might affect the Lions is also fleshed out in this episode. As usual, Case takes us around the Division to laugh at the competition in preparation for their terrible demise in the upcoming season.
