In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast (the second of the week!), Chris and Case are joined by Erik Schlitt from Lionswire to break down the latest and most important Detroit Lions free agency news of the day on a player by player basis while Chris and Case go around the division for a look at what the competition is up to.
Erik Schlitt joins the Detroit Lions Podcast again to dig into the plethora of moves that the Detroit Lions made today in the first hours of free agency. We talk about every player mentioned in the DetroitLionsPodcast.com Free Agency tracker and let folks know what we think of the players coming, the folks going, and the guys we decided to keep around. Of course we spend some time talking about the most surprising move of the day, the decision to cut DeAndre Levy – we don’t think anyone saw that coming – and what it means for the Lions’ upcoming draft choices. Its pretty obvious at this point that they are most likely going to be taking a linebacker in one of the early rounds, probably the first… We also spend some time on the departure of Reilly Rieff and what he might look like against the Lions next year as he plays left tackle in Minnesota. There was a lot to talk about in an event-filled day across the NFL, and particularly in Lions land.
