Ep: 79 – Lions Look to the Jaguars – The Detroit Lions Podcast

In this episode of the Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris takes the studio cross-country to Boston where he and Case break down the latest and most important Detroit Lions news, find joy in the NFC North meltdown during the Lions’ bye week, and chat with the Riz (Jeff Risdon) about the team’s performance, Jim Caldwell, Brandon Pettigrew, and more.

During ‘This Week In Reddit’, we talk about some of the excellent entries we have in the “What Would You Do For A Lions Hat?” contest and remind listeners that they have until the end of November to submit their entries. We talk about the new “rooting guide” that Case is putting together in the subreddit, have a good laugh talking about the surge in Stafford memes, talk about NFL Power Rankings and where the Lions fall, discuss Brandon Pettigrew and what he might bring in his return to the team, and finally, dive in on Matthew Stafford‘s possible role as the $25 million man. We also give an abbreviated version of the Fantasy Football Update, and Case takes us for a trip ‘Around the Division’ to bring us up to date on the latest breaking NFC North news.

This week, ‘The Riz’ (Jeff Risdon), joins the Detroit Lions Podcast for an in-depth analysis of the NFC North meltdown that occurred while the Lions spent the week at the spa, and we start to talk about Caldwell as if he could be around for a while (this always makes Chris shudder). We also talk about players who should be returning soon, and what that means for the Lions’ run through the end of the season.
